Carbon Film Resistor

Here you will learn about carbon film resistor tips and how to find good information.

In this video we show you how to take an existing part and cover it it real carbon fibre. In the video we use a carbon fibre skinning kit (available from www.carbonmods.co.uk ) which includes all of the materials needed to cover a number of parts in carbon fibre. We call this technique skinning but other name are carbon fibre wrapping, coating and covering. This product and many more are also available from http To talk about your project or see what others are getting up to please join in on the forum www.talkcomposites.com

Quick demo of a Trainwreck Express inspired clone I built with some modifications for a touch more gain and a lil more low end. A Laney AOR head cab and chassis was repurposed for this build, the owner was not a fan of it’s sound (to each his own). This one is running Ruby 2×6L6’s, pumping through the Orange stack with 4×12 Celestion V30’s on top, and 4×12 Celestion G12T-75’s on the bottom. Playing a stock Italia Maranello Speedster thru it. I dig it. It’s got that grainy raw distortion going on, but still lots of clarity, and roll back on the guitar’s volume knob, and it cleans up real nice with shimmery spank and chime, without getting muddy or losing volume. I’m kinda bummed I can’t keep this one for myself. Point to point on tagboard, with Mallory 150 coupling caps, carbon comp resistors on the preamp plates and cathodes, carbon film elsewhere in preamp, and metal film and metal oxide in power section.

Graphite ConductivityGraphite is a native element mineral with layer-like structure. It’s a greasy black or grayish black metalescent substance. The properties of this mineral depend on its origin or production method. The graphite lattice may contain swells, distortion of carbonic grid and defects in fine texture. Graphite is a good conductor. Unlike that of the hard minerals, its structure is rather soft. Unique properties of this mineral make it a good fit for various production fields. High conductivity of graphite is used in electrodes, heater elements, wipers for electric machines and powerful rheostats. The chemical industry has also used graphite properties in invention of a whole range of must-haves – like lubricants, conductive adhesives, plastic fillers, synthetic diamonds, and, of course our great and indispensable assistants – graphite pencils. In the machine-building industry graphite is used to make piston rods, friction bearings, seal rings for pumps and compressors, self-lubricating bearings and electric machine rings. The numerous applications of graphite are also found in the radio technical industry.Carbon resistors. These are also often called graphite resistors. There exist two types – film resistors and bulk ones. These devices are based on the high specific resistance of graphite. The adjustment platform of trimmer resistors, variable resistors and straight-moving resistors is based on graphite spatter. These types of resistors are widely and

Demo of the Granger E35 Regal amplifier, featuring performance by Truman Steffens. www.GrangerAmp.com for pricing, specs, available options, etc. This amp is all-tube, hand-wired, 35 watts, and inspired by the amps of Ken Fisher (Trainwreck). Controls are (LR) 3-position bright switch, Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, Presence. It has two KT77 (can also run EL34, or 6V6), two 12AX7 (JJs in this clip), and one Tung Sol 12AX7 in V1. Orange Drop (716 series) signal caps and carbon film resistors in the signal path. PT and OT are Tonesluts. The recording is a 1993 Gibson SG plugged straight into the amp. The cabinet is a standard 4×12 made of 3/4″ baltic birch loaded with 8 ohm Mojotone BV-25s, wired in series/parallel for 8 ohms. The mic is a Behringer 58, into a dbx386 mic pre, and recorded on a Roland VS-1680. Reverb added at mixdown. For more info, current pricing, and ordering, please visit www.GrangerAmp.com

ADA last phase, the A / DA Final Phase phase shifter is the latest technology. The final phase is a very broad sound colorations, dramatically improves the effect of amplified musical instrument, voice or percussive instrument. Electronic phasing occurs when a signal is split, one half slightly delayed, then remixed with the original signal. This "delay" occurs only at certain frequencies and is a phase shift (when the delay according toat all frequencies, the effect is) called beading. If the phase shift of the delayed signal differs by 180 degrees compared to the original signal, a rejection, "cried a score is generated when they are remixed. The last phase generates 5 notches on moving back and forth across the sound spectrum, for example, produces the classic rotating speaker effect. TECHNICAL INFORMATION The 2009 Reissue A / DA Final Phase is designed by the original developers of the late 1970s, A / DA FinalPhases with very similar parts, and exactly the same parts in the all-analog signal path. The differences between your Reissue Final phase and an A / DA are final phase: – The new edition has true "hard-wired" to handle and not the originals. – The new edition of Overdrive (distortion) was re-voiced to get to a more modern-sounding distortion, while the original distortion sound and feel by releasing the new Overdrive Control. In fact, we have a "11" recorded on the overdrive. How to
